At Lutton St Nicholas Primary Academy, we want our learners to develop a fascination of the world and the people in it. We want our pupils to learn about the world and its diverse nature not only through the teaching of key locational knowledge but the physical and human processes that occur on planet Earth.
Our geography curriculum also aims to develop a sense of curiosity and care in our pupils by providing regular opportunities for pupils to engage in fieldwork and geographical enquiry and be taught about fundamental issues affecting our world such as deforestation, pollution and climate change.
Our ultimate aim is to foster in our children a love of learning when studying our word and ensure our children consider how they can support the future of all life by being considerate towards the world we live in. We look to do this by providing pupils with a working knowledge of the world that considers both diversity of both people and locations across the globe as well as key human and physical processes. Fundamentally, we hope to ensure our children thrive in an ever-changing world and empower them in their responsibilities as global citizens.
