We strongly encourage the use of school uniform, including black school shoes in all classes and, therefore, seek your co-operation. All uniform items should be clearly named.
Families are welcome to purchase second‑hand uniform from local charity shops, as long as the items closely match the descriptions set out in our school uniform guidance. If you need any further support in finding suitable second‑hand uniform, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help
We also ask that if children have pierced ears, they wear a plain studded earring, not hoop or drop earrings. No bracelets should be worn unless for medical reasons (i.e. a medical alert bracelet). Necklaces should not be worn unless for religious reasons.
Children with earrings must remove them before PE lessons. If they cannot do this themselves, we ask that parents / carers remove these before the start of the school day.
The core items pupils must attend school wearing include an appropriate shirt from the options above, trousers, skirts or gingham dress and school shoes (examples given in 8 and 9). Pupils should also ensure they have an appropriate school jumper or cardigan (examples in 3 and 4) but this jumper. Please note that the jumper does not need to have the school logo.
For PE, pupils are required to have a white or blue t-shirt, shorts or appropriate tracksuit bottoms depending on whether and trainers. Plimsoles may be purchased for indoor units such as gymnastics but these are not required. Each year, pupils will attend swimming lessons in Key Stage 2 so please be aware that children will need swimming trunks or swimming costume, a towel and a swimming hat which is a required item by the swimming centre, without one, children may not be allowed to swim.
